PrePEAR Program
We assist FRC team year round! Check out our PrePEAR Program graphic above to see how we help FRC teams from kick-off to competition to off-season. For more information about our Pear Up! kick-off initiative, see below.
Traditionally, Pearadox invites other teams to our facility to go through the kickoff day with us. This allows teams to get a first hand look at how we look at the rule book, discuss what functions are available, and analyze robot function priorities.
We use the documents below to guide our conversation throughout the day.
The below is a rough schedule we have followed in the past:

We use the documents below to guide our conversation throughout the day.
The below is a rough schedule we have followed in the past:
- Guest speaker 8:30 AM
- Watch FRC live stream 9 AM - ?
- Review the game animation and brief high level discussion - document list of questions
- Lunch 11-12. This can be a good time to let students go wild with their discussion about the new game
- Rules review 12-1. Go through the entire rulebook together as a team.
- The remainder of the afternoon is spent on the following
- Go through the kickoff rules worksheet below
- Discuss what robots can do (i.e. conceptually, not discussing designs yet)
- Game break of having students be robots and to see if we can get a feel for the game at all
- Points analysis - compare effort vs time vs points for all the different ways to score (or prevent scoring)
- Using the points analysis and the strategic planning document below, start determining what we think our team priorities for the robot should be based on our team goals (whether it's make playoffs at a district event, be a alliance captain at district champs, or win the world championships)
